As I’ve been thoroughly scrolling through Brittany Lee’s blogspot, there was this one part of an entry that she wrote that I really loved:
I was so lucky to be able to touch many different aspects of the film. This one, though - (Elsa) is very near and dear to my heart. The more Elsa’s character evolved, the more I felt like I was looking in a mirror. While I can (and probably will) go into more detail about the eerie similarities between the lives of the sisters of Arendelle and the Lee sisters, the thing that really hit home for me immediately was this: Elsa is an artist. She expresses herself through creation.
When I read the last part, it hit me like a ‘ton of ice bricks’. I’ve always related to Elsa in some way, but I just immediately thought that the whole ‘older sister’ thing was it. I now realize that it’s way more than that, and now I probably will never look at Elsa the same way again.
I wish I could have drawn this better to do all the effort put into the movie justice and to get my point across, but yeah. This is more of a personal art piece than a general fan art one. I hope you see my point and hopefully relate!
